Client: Atlanta Metropolitan State College

Challenge

Our client, Atlanta Metropolitan College, needed to provide child care support to students. the average age of the student body is 27. Many have work and childcare responsibilities to manage while going to school.

Solution

The Department of Education (DOE) provided the CCAMPIS (Child Care Access Means Parents in Schoo) grant for colleges and universities to provide childcare access to students.

Outcome

We won $2 million for Atlanta Metropolitan College from the DOE CCAMPIS program.

The funds were used to open a childcare facility on campus and provide childcare vouchers to students.

Client: Atlanta Black Wealth Building Initiative

Challenge

Our client, Atlanta Wealth Building Initiative (AWBI), works to close the racial wealth gap through community wealth-building strategies. Bank of America’s Neighborhood Builders deploys capital in communities, builds cross-sector partnerships, and promotes socioeconomic progress as part of its approach to responsible growth.

Solution

Bank of America’s Neighborhood Builder program is an invitation-only, highly competitive grant program awarding a $200,000 grant over two years. Support includes comprehensive leadership training for the executive director and an emerging leader, joining a network of peer organizations across the U.S., and accessing capital to expand their impact.

Outcome

We won $ 400,000 from Bank of America’s Neighborhood Builders program for Atlanta Wealth Building Initiative (AWBI).

 

The funds provided an incredible opportunity to expand AWBI’s efforts to address the intersectionality of their work and the ways wealth, or the lack thereof, intersects with one’s ability to be free across all systems

Client: Douglas County Community Services Board

Challenge

Our client, Douglas County Community Services Board (CSB) partnered with the Douglas County Sherriff’s Office to support incarcerated people impacted by illicit opioids, stimulants, and other drugs throughout Douglas County, GA.

Solution

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) provided the Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP) to develop, implement, or expand comprehensive efforts to identify, respond to, treat, and support those impacted by illicit opioids, stimulants and other drugs.

Outcome

We won $ 1,196,998 from BJA for Douglas County CSB.

The funds were used to provide post-booking support treatment alternatives for individuals at high risk for overdose or substance use.
